Data center specialist Digital Realty announces that customers can now use a connection to Google Cloud from its data center in Brussels.
Digital Realty colocation customers can now quickly and reliably connect their own infrastructure in the company’s Brussels data center to Google Cloud Platform. Finally, Digital Realty starts a Google Cloud connection there. This is a redundant connection between the private hardware in the colocation data center and Google Cloud, aimed at low latency and high performance.
Hybrid cloud
The connection enables hybrid environments in which customers combine their own infrastructure with services from the Google Cloud without performance issues. Data exchanged between the two environments must never be transmitted over the public Internet. This is safer, faster and more efficient.
With the addition of Brussels, Digital Realty now offers connectivity capabilities in fifteen international locations across Europe, North and South America. The company specializes in both colocation and interconnectivity. Anyone who installs hardware at a data center specialist has a wide range of fast connections to other locations or services. The solution with Google fits this picture. To connect, customers can choose between a direct connection to Google Cloud or a connection hosted by Digital Realty.
