The Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro+ is a luxury model with excellent features that belongs to the premium category.
The image of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro+ (499 euros including VAT) seems almost completely correct. The model has an excellent camera, a vibrant OLED screen and lightning-fast charging time. In terms of performance, it’s not the best compared to other price ranges, but it’s not the worst either.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro+ looks stylish and is available in three neutral colors: white, silver and blue. The screen size is 6.67 inches, which is a comfortable size for most users. The edges are nicely rounded so that the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro+ sits comfortably in the hand. The casing is made of metal and glass, providing a luxurious (and durable) appearance.
If we look at the charging time of the battery (5,000 mAh), the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro+ is significantly higher than other price competitors. In just ten minutes, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro+ is fifty percent charged, and after twenty-two minutes it is eighty percent charged. In terms of charging time, with a maximum of 120 watts, it is a real top-class device, but unfortunately the battery runs out quickly.
However, when we put the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro+ through a video and performance test, the results were disappointing and it ended up near the bottom of the list compared to its price competitors. Unfortunately, wireless charging is inadequate, but this is partially offset by the included charger.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro+ is on the rise, especially in terms of camera quality. The device is equipped with a 200-megapixel main sensor that produces ultra-sharp photos. There are also two additional lenses on the back, an ultra-wide-angle lens with an 8-megapixel sensor and a macro camera with a 2-megapixel sensor. These cameras offer additional support for unique perspectives and the OIS ensures that you can easily shoot handheld.
The photos we took with the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro+ are of excellent quality. The night function also proves itself and ensures high-quality photos. Photography connoisseurs and enthusiasts will enjoy the “Pro” function, which allows you to adjust settings such as shutter speed, ISO and white balance.
The screen looks very bright and vibrant. The screen of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro+ has 2400 x 1080 pixels and is equipped with an OLED screen, which we prefer to an LCD screen. The colors and contrast are much stronger on an OLED screen, and this is also noticeable on the screen of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro+.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro+ runs on a Mediatek Dimensity 1080. It is equipped with an octa-core processor and is supported by a Mali-G68 MC4 for graphics workloads. For such a model in the more expensive segment, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro+ performs similarly to most of its price colleagues with two outliers. This processor is definitely sufficient for everyday use. There are no stutters when switching between different apps and functions.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro+ has secured its place on the map thanks to its excellent feature-rich camera and vibrant OLED screen. The battery is also charged in a very short time, but unfortunately it also runs out quickly. The performance is average compared to other models in the same price range. Overall, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro+ is part of the winning team in the price comparison. The striking strengths push the moderate, but not necessarily bad, performance into the background.
