In 2021, Fulton County District Attorney Fanny Willis launched an investigation into Donald Trump over allegations of criminal activity related to his attempt to overturn the official results of the 2020 presidential election. Last summer, a grand jury indicted Trump along with 18 defendants on multiple racketeering charges. Four defendants have already pleaded guilty and are cooperating with the investigation.
