Fighters of the Assault Troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine neutralized the main battle tank of the Russian army. This is stated in the message of the Command of the Assault Troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Ukrainian fighters with armored vehicles also eliminated the crew of the Russian army. «Any aggressor who comes to Ukraine to bring war here will remain on our holy land forever. We continue to fight and destroy the enemies of Ukraine“, – DShV Armed Forces Command said in a statement.

It should be noted that the tank was captured relatively undamaged and will be used by the Armed Forces. Presumably, the incident took place in the Donetsk region.

Sicheslav Brigade

The 25th Separate Sicheslav Airborne Brigade is a military unit of the Air Strike Troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It is located in the town of Gvardiyske in the Dnipropetrovsk region, but currently conducts combat operations in the Donetsk region. By the beginning of the Russian-Ukrainian war in 2014, only one battalion of the brigade was fully combat ready.

On July 16, 2002, the brigade was awarded the honorary title “Dnipropetrovsk”. On August 23, 2021, the brigade was given the honorary new name “Sicheslavskaya”. On October 4, 2021, in Zaporizhia on the island of Khortytsia, during the visit of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, the brigade commander, Colonel Yevhen Kurash, received a battle flag with an honorary strip of titles.
