OUR Google announced this Wednesday (25) a new feature in its text editor, Google docs. Users will now be able to perform actions on multiple selected texts. With multiple selection, the company promises flexibility in formatting and editing documents, eliminating repetitive steps.

According to the description google, this function allows you to perform actions such as deleting, pasting, cutting, copying, pasting or formatting different texts at the same time, easily and quickly. To perform a new function, simply select a piece of text and hold down Team(?) in Poppy or Control in Window, select another part you want to edit at the same time. After that, just perform the necessary actions and all the selected texts will change in the same way.

The new tool may seem like a small upgrade, but it’s part of a suite of efforts by the company to make the text editor more complete for users. In this case, multiple selection should be very useful, for example, for editing long documents or text files.

Availability

Along with the announcement, Google said that the new selection feature has already started being offered to a subset of users this Wednesday (25) and should gradually reach a wider audience. Thus, if it is still not available to some people, within 15 days it should be available. All types of Google accounts – Workspace, deprecated G Suite Basic as well as Business – will receive, by default, a novelty.
