The organization says there are errors in the required signatures in support of his candidacy. Nadezhdin’s election campaign presented 105,000 signaturesand the CEC notes that 15% of them contained defectsincluding “dead souls” and invalid signatures.

Nadezhdin, 60, who had hoped to run as a party candidate Civil initiative, has seen an increase in support over the past month, even as queues have formed outside its headquarters. He opposes the invasion Ukraine, and asks for negotiations now. He is for “cooperation with Western countries”.

Candidacy on the rise

For Boris Nadezhdin, the fact that he was not allowed to participate in the presidential elections shows one thing: his candidacy is growing and this frightens the presidential administration. “I will appeal to the Supreme Court”said.

With pacifism erased from the election race, the alternative to Putin is once again becoming communism or nationalism. Only the leader of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Nikolai Kharitonov can receive a significant number of votes.

According to polls, Putin has a strong popular support. He recently received an index 80% approval in the survey.
