A new leak has left us with the first official renders of the Samsung Galaxy A35 and Galaxy A55, two smartphones that will be placed in the mid-range and premium mid-range, and which have adopted new design which Samsung introduced with the launch of the Galaxy S24.
This change is very easy to see in the second picture where we have completely flat frame which contrasts with the slightly rounded surface of previous models. The back remains unchanged, which means that we find a smooth and completely minimalist surface.
The arrangement of three rear cameras maintains verticalityand these are found integrated into the chassis, which means they protrude only slightly from it. Personally, I like this approach more than using a traditional island, as it ends up looking like a “globe”, which is quite out of step with the elegance and overall minimalism of the smartphone.
On the front, we have an all-screen finish with more pronounced bezels than we usually see in high-end bands, and we can also see circular island where the front camera is integrated. Of the two models, the most economical will be the Samsung Galaxy A35, which will sit above the Galaxy A25 and most likely end up around 300 euros. It should be configured with 8GB of RAM, 128GB of storage and an Exynos 1380 SoC.
The Samsung Galaxy A55 will be positioned a step above the previous one and will have an Exynos 1480 SoC. It should also be better in build quality as it will probably be made of aluminum (chassis) and glass. Its price will be about 450 eurosapproximately and will come with 8GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB of storage.
We don’t have details on the rest of its specifications yet, and the show and launch date haven’t been revealed, but it should be very close as both smartphones are done and ready to hit the market anytime. They will have to face tough competition from brands like Xiaomi, Redmi and Oppowhich offer mid-range smartphones with very good features at very interesting prices.
