Turkish company Baykar started construction of a facility in Ukraine for the production of Bayraktar TB2 and TB3 unmanned aerial vehicles. Baykar General Manager Haluk Bayraktar stated that the construction of the facility in Ukraine has already started and is planned to be completed within 12 months. He noted that the production capacity of the facility will be approximately 120 units per year and that TB2 or TB3 drone models are planned to be produced.
When asked whether security issues related to the war in Ukraine would pose a risk to the facility, Khaluk Bayraktar said the plans were “fully progressed” and “nothing” could stop them.
The company president also noted that the company plans to double Akıncı drone production this year and produce “dozens” of new models of Kızılelma and TB3 drones.
