Extreme cold test: In this test, water is sprayed on a complex panel at minus 10 degrees and the panel is frozen for 4 hours with a 6 mm thick layer of ice. After removing the ice the panel worked fine.
Alternating hot and cold exposure testing: The composite panel was exposed to extremely low temperatures of minus 32°C and temperatures of 63°C for 2 hours. This was repeated three times over a 12 hour period without any issues with the display.
Impact test: The screen was dropped onto a hard surface from a height of 1.22 meters a total of 26 times without causing any damage to the product. Cho Eun-seok, head of Samsung’s marketing team, said Samsung has applied for and registered nearly 1,800 patents for advanced devices in the United States.
