Microsoft President Brad Smith announced that the company will expand its infrastructure in artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud services in Spain.

This was reported by Reuters, as reported by Ukrinform.

“Our investment is not only aimed at creating data centres, but is a testament to our 37-year commitment to Spain, its security, development and digital transformation of its government, companies and people,” said Smith.

It was stated that the technology giant’s total investment is 2.1 billion dollars and the money will be invested in the next two years.

Microsoft did not immediately respond to Reuters’ request for more details about the investment in Spain.

According to Ukrinform, Microsoft President Brad Smith announced last week that the company plans to invest 3.2 billion euros in the German artificial intelligence infrastructure over the next two years. The technology giant aims to increase its cloud computing capabilities in Europe.
