At the Mobile World Congress 2024 exhibition held in Barcelona, Spain, the Chinese company Oppo presented Oppo Air Glass 3, a glasses prototype with augmented reality (AR) and a voice assistant with artificial intelligence.

CNBC reports this, according to Ukrinform.

The company said the AR glasses have voice assistant support based on its own AI language model (LLM) called AndesGPT, with which it communicates via smartphone.

Users can control the glasses using touch sensors on the side of the frame.

According to the company, the voice assistant is currently only available in China. The chatbot is capable of “conducting conversations to assist users with tasks such as searching for information and planning travel.”

The glasses weigh only 50 grams.

Since these glasses are only a prototype, it is currently unclear whether Oppo plans to commercialize them. The company’s previous Air Glass 2 was never available for sale to the public.

As reported by Ukrinform, Chinese company Lenovo showed off a laptop prototype with a transparent screen on Monday; In a way, this technology is similar to augmented reality.
