Google has announced three new features for its Chrome browser for desktop and mobile that will provide more helpful suggestions when you search the web, even if you have a weak data connection.

On desktop, users who sign in to Chrome and open a new tab will now see suggestions for their previous searches in the search box based on similar things others have searched for. For example, if you recently searched for “Japchae” you might see suggestions for other popular Korean dishes.

Elsewhere, Google says it’s also improving image results. Previously, Chrome only showed images in the address bar for search suggestions that matched a specific product users were searching for. Chrome on iOS and Android will now show images for broader shopping categories and products based on simple searches.

Finally, Chrome for Android and iOS now has advanced on-device features that will provide search suggestions to users even if they have a poor network connection. Google says this will also mean more helpful recommendations when incognito mode is enabled.

Google says three new features are now gradually rolling out to Chrome users. The changes follow the launch of the new productive AI-powered Help Me Write feature, which rolled out for the Chrome desktop browser last week.
