Microsoft will release an updated version of the most affordable of its Surface Laptop Go laptops. The device is already mentioned in the catalog of one of the South Korean retailers. The most important change in the new Surface Laptop Go 2 will be the new platform. Instead of the 10th generation Intel Core processors offered in the original 2020 model, the Surface Laptop Go 2 will offer 11th generation Intel Core processors (Tiger Lake). In particular, a model with a Core i5-1135G7 chip is expected. The latter has four cores supporting eight virtual streams and operates in the 2.4 to 4.2 GHz frequency range.

The updated model will also have an improved HD camera. Pre-orders for the Surface Laptop Go 2 South Korean retailer will start accepting from June 2. Therefore, the official announcement of the device should take place soon. According to various sources, the basic version of the laptop will cost $ 650.

Other features of the Surface Laptop Go 2 are similar to the previous one. The laptop will offer a 12.4-inch display with a 3:2 aspect ratio and the same set of external interfaces from one USB Type-A, one USB Type-C, one 3.5mm combo audio output and proprietary charging connector. Some configurations also offer a fingerprint scanner built into the power button. The keyboard of the updated laptop model does not have a backlight. The new products will run on Windows 11 Home.

The South Korean seller states that the Surface Laptop Go 2 will get at least 8GB of RAM and a 128GB SSD.
