The Payconiq by Bancontact app introduces a new feature that allows users to receive, pay and view bills clearly via the app.

With the new “Invoices” service in the Payconiq by Bancontact app, you can receive and pay invoices directly in the app. This new function makes your personal management easier and ensures a clear overview of all your invoices. Payments are seamless and more secure as users don’t have to leave the app. The function is optional, the usual way of receiving invoices (digital or on paper) remains.

Fast, secure and clear

The risk of errors is lower because all payment details are entered automatically. Thanks to the clear overview, you can see at a glance which invoices are due, paid or overdue. The app also sends you notifications whenever a bill arrives or needs to be paid.

The app feature was developed in collaboration with POM, a Belgian player in the payments sector. “When you receive an invoice in the Payconiq by Bancontact app, you can be 100% confident that it is a legitimate payment request,” says Tom Totté, co-founder of POM. “The Payconiq by Bancontact app acts as a safe haven where invoices can be received. The notifications in the app also help you not to lose track of the documents that still need to be paid for.”

Activate “Invoices”.

Users will continue to receive their invoices in the usual way (digital or paper), but the app offers an additional way to receive and pay invoices securely. Users can therefore choose whether they want to receive invoices via the app.

To activate the Invoices feature, navigate to ‘Services’ and click ‘Bills’. You can then check your details and activate the function. The billing documents remain available in the app for two years.
