According to NASA, the length of the celestial body approaching our planet for the first time is 134 meters.
The distance from it to the Earth will be 7.2 million km. The speed of the asteroid is 36,504 km/h.
If an asteroid approaches Earth at a distance of less than 7.4 million km and its size exceeds 150 m, NASA considers it a “potentially hazardous object.”
Asteroid 2024 BD7 does not fall under both parameters at the same time.
