The Ratel Deminer mining trawl of Brave1 participants was recognized as a priority development for the Security and Defense Forces.
According to Ukrinform, Deputy Prime Minister for the Development of Innovation, Education, Science and Technology – Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov announced this on Telegram.
“Ratel Deminer is a minesweeper that detects and neutralizes anti-personnel mines. It operates remotely and therefore saves the lives of military personnel. The complex is equipped with a day vision camera, which helps to better manage it. Ratel Deminer, PFM-1, PMN-4 “Destroys PMN-3 and PMN-2 type mines,” the message reads.
It is emphasized that the developers have already conducted tests of Ratel Deminer in real conditions – the complex was used for humanitarian clearance of anti-personnel mines near Sviatohirsk, Donetsk region.
According to Fedorov, Ratel Deminer received BRV1 status, meaning that its development was identified as a priority for the Security and Defense Forces. Now the complex is being improved and capacity increased.
Previous codings were received by Ratel S and Ratel M ground robots from the same team. They are already actively used in the military.
As reported, participants in the Brave1 defense technology cluster have received $3 million in grants for their development since April 2023.
