Oracle NetSuite announced the expansion of its generative AI capabilities, allowing users to leverage business-specific data to create and refine personalized content.
Oracle NetSuite announces that it is expanding its generative AI capabilities across its offering. With the new NetSuite Text Enhance functionality, users can use company-specific and relevant data to create and refine contextual and personalized content.
This functionality is now integrated into a broader range of processes, including finance and accounting, logistics chain and operations, sales and marketing, and customer support. NetSuite Text Enhance is designed to help companies achieve their goals faster and more efficiently by increasing productivity, reducing human errors, improving consistency and accelerating business processes.
Integration and security
NetSuite Text Enhance’s generative AI capabilities, based on OCI and leveraging industry-leading AI services, are designed with the privacy and security of corporate data in mind. No customer data is shared with third-party LLM providers or accessed by other customers.
Additionally, only a single customer is authorized to use custom models trained on their own data. To further protect sensitive information, role-based security is integrated directly into NetSuite workflows.
By integrating business-specific and contextual data, NetSuite Text Enhance can improve various business processes. This ranges from accelerating financial reporting to streamlining purchasing and logistics processes to improving production efficiency and accelerating marketing and sales activities. Additionally, it helps HR and customer service teams improve the speed and accuracy of key activities.
AI without a price increase
Where other SaaS solutions for AI applications require additional money, Oracle keeps its wallet closed. All AI improvements are considered product improvements by Oracle. This is in direct contrast to SAP, which aims for a consumption model with its generative AI functions and demands up to 30 percent more budget for this.
“AI will be everywhere – you can’t turn it on or off. “It makes no sense to make it harder or more expensive for customers to use,” said Evan Goldberg, EVP of Oracle NetSuite, via Axios.
Generative AI is hot, but the marriage is still in its early stages. Let’s wait and see if Oracle continues to adopt this stance.
