X provides passkey support for iPhone users

Twitter, formerly known as Twitter, is expanding support for passkeys as a sign-in option for iPhone users worldwide, the company announced. Support for toggles was introduced to the X earlier this year, but the option was limited to iOS users in the US. Now anyone on the social media platform can use them.

Passkeys are easy to use and more secure than passwords because they allow users to sign in to apps and sites the same way they unlocked their devices (Face ID, Touch ID, or device passcode). Access keys are also resistant to online attacks such as phishing; This makes them more secure than things like one-time SMS codes.

Apple integrated toggle switches into iOS with the release of iOS 16 in 2022, and they are also available in iPadOS 16.1 and later and macOS Ventura and later.

To set passcode keys on ‌X on ‌iPhone‌, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to the X application.
  2. click Your account In the navigation bar.
  3. choose Settings and Privacy then press Account security and access And Security .
  4. In the section Additional password protection print access key .
  5. Enter your password when prompted.
  6. choose Add access key and follow the instructions.

X is only one of the few companies that offer the support of switch with other supportive applications and websites such as Google, Paypal, Best Buy, Ebay, Dashlane and Microsoft in recent months.
