DJI has introduced a number of new products to enhance the filmmaking experience, including the DJI RS 4 series stabilizers and the DJI Focus Pro lens control system.
RS 4 and RS 4 Pro stabilizers enhance DJI’s renowned stabilization capabilities. They introduce new features for a smoother workflow: the original vertical shooting mode for social media content, an updated leveling system for more stable videos, and improvements that double the efficiency of work. RS 4 Pro goes even further by seamlessly integrating with the DJI PRO ecosystem to create a complete solution for film and TV production, including stabilization, transmission, tracking, focus control and more.
DJI Focus Pro’s modular system meets individual needs. Filmmakers can create custom rigs using four main components: a LiDAR rangefinder, a motor, a handle, and a flywheel. Focus Pro itself features an updated AI recognition algorithm for accurate focus tracking and improved LiDAR performance. While people’s focusing distance tripled to 20 meters, the number of range measurement points increased by 77% to 76,800.
Focus control is also versatile. The system supports AMF (Automatic Focus) shared mode, three-channel lens control to adjust focus, focal length and aperture, and magnetic damping flywheel for a smooth tactile feel. With the LiDAR oscilloscope, filmmakers gain valuable information to help focus, including subject identification, real-time focal plane cues, and a distance ruler.
Focus Pro easily integrates with existing DJI equipment such as Ronin stabilizers, DJI Transmission systems, Ronin 4D and Inspire 3, making it easy to integrate into your existing workflows.
The system comes in two packages: creative package and universal package. Ideal for solo shooters, the creative kit includes a LiDAR rangefinder, grip and motor that provide on-screen control, automatic lens calibration and Bluetooth recording control. The versatile kit adds a focus release handwheel for precise control of focus, focal length and aperture when shooting together. Prices for both sets are listed below:
