April is coming to an end and as usual on Telegram we are reviewing all the new features that were added during this month and that were gradually implemented. And there have been many, although they are mostly small functions or features that, yes, add up to significant progress.

Speaking of the “new version” of Telegram, if such a definition is applicable, this April “more than 15 new features were added, including recommended channels, a way to view your own profile and display your channel and birthday on your page, improvements in moderation tools for group admins and much more,” they point out in the official announcement.

Many of these developments, some of the most notable, actually revolve around user profile, a feature that’s gaining relevance in the app like never before… but only on mobile, at least for now. Just open the side menu and enter the first option: «My profile«. He has no loss.

In this section you can see your profile as other users see it, with nuances: only data such as phone number will be shown to others depending on their privacy settings. Other information available on this screen includes “stories” with a limit of three set; your birthday, the channels you admin and their latest posts, “collectible usernames” (premium feature), etc.

The rest of the messages implemented by Telegram this month are distributed in very different places. So the search interface now includes a where tab a list with channels that are watched and another with recommended channels, usually with related topics; the ability to configure shared location, notification of reactions to custom messages and in-depth messages is expanded; Bulk moderation has been improved for groups…

And more, exclusively for Telegram Premium users, a paid subscription service whose users can now include animated and personalized emoticons in surveys, see ads that are hidden by default (it’s one of the advantages of the payment plan, but who knows), open stories third parties anonymously in the purest style stalker…and more, all detailed in the ad linked above.
