Anyone who wants a larger iPad but doesn’t want to pay the Pro price can now opt for the iPad Air series. The 11-inch model is now joined by a larger 13-inch version.
Two years after the redesign of the iPad Air with M1 chip, the new version is here. This time not a new design, but a larger screen as an additional option and this time the Apple M2 chip inside. Grays are a thing of the past as the only color option: from now on you can choose between blue, purple, gold and the traditional dark gray.
Otherwise, hardly anything has changed on the iPad Air models. There is now space for a 12 megapixel camera on the back. What’s important is that the camera is in the middle of the front when you hold the tablet horizontally. Very practical for video calls as you are no longer shown at an angle because the camera is on the short side.
Unlike the new iPad Pro with OLED screen, which has become more expensive again, the price of the iPad Air remains stable.
The base model has 128 GB of onboard storage and costs from 719 euros for the 11-inch model or 969 euros for the 13-inch screen size. If you want to add mobile connectivity (5G), you have to pay 150 euros more. The tablet is compatible with the previous generation Magic Keyboard (349 euros). All prices include VAT.
The new iPad Air models are available now and will ship from May 15th.
