Rumor has it that the new multiplayer game Crash Bandicoot is in development and could be announced at a future game presentation, according to Windows Central journalist Jess Corden, who added that it will be a bit like a four-player fight. In addition, the game is being developed by Toys for Bob, the studio behind Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time, which is likely to be released in 2020.
The news will no doubt come as a pleasant surprise to any fans who were alarmed last year when Activision Blizzard commissioned a California studio to work on Call of Duty Warzone.
Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time received positive reviews from critics, rated 8.7 out of 10 from our own Kay Powell.
I have to admit that Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time is the best Crash game since the original trilogy, despite the cheap tricks performed by Toys For Bob and other characters that don’t bring the same fun as Bandicut. The higher complexity and excessive collectibles may repel casual gamers and bounty hunters, but Crash fans already know what they want from a viable sequel, and Toys For Bob has certainly done just that.
Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time is a brand new game as it is closely related to the story of PlayStation 1 trilogy 1. Become a victim of cheap deaths. However, fewer games were sold than the updated Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy (created by Vicarious Visions, now merged with Blizzard Entertainment) and Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled (managed by Beenox).
Earlier this year, Activision Blizzard agreed to be acquired by Microsoft for almost $70 billion. However, the deal is still subject to regulatory approval, and the FTC is currently conducting a thorough review of the deal. Source
