The launch of God of War Ragnarok for PC could happen this month, probably at the end so as not to overshadow the launch of Ghost of Tsushima DIRECTOR’S CUT, which is scheduled to arrive on May 16. It’s a rumor, but it makes a lot of sense, and if confirmed, it would leave The Last of Us Part II Remastered as a possible late-year launch on PC. This rumor has left many people asking the important question, What will be the requirements for God of War Ragnarok for PC?
We don’t have an official answer yet, but it’s a cross-gen game that was developed based on the PS4 and had specific tweaks to take advantage of the PS5’s potential, so in general I think we’ll find relatively affordable requirements and very similar to those of Horizon Forbidden West.
I know that many of you are looking forward to the release of God of War Ragnarok on PC and are eager to know whether it will work on your PC or not. That’s why I’m going to share it with you estimate of possible requirements which this game will have in its compatible version. When the official requirements are released, I’ll update this article and leave you with the full list so you can compare the estimate to the final ones, as always.
With this configuration the game should work 1080p with low quality and stable 30 FPSalthough it will depend on the game’s own optimization.
This hardware should be enough to play God of War Ragnarok in 1080p with maximum quality while maintaining a completely stable 60 FPS. Again, game optimization will be crucial, and we’ll have to see if memory consumption stays at reasonable levels or skyrockets.
To play at 1440p resolution with maximum or very high quality and a completely stable 60 FPS, we will most likely need GeForce RTX 3070 Ti or Radeon RX 6800. If our goal is to play in 4K with everything at maximum and good fluidity, we will need a GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER or Radeon RX 7900 GRE.
