BYD officially introduced the crossover Sea Lion 07It was the first car on the new e-Platform 3.0 Evo platform. It is available in four versions ranging in price from $26,250 to $33,200.

e-Platform 3.0 Evo is significantly improved over e-Platform 3.0 with improved streaming and faster charging features. Advanced CTB (Cell-to-Body) battery technology increases passenger safety and body strength by more than 60% in frontal crashes.

According to the developer, the electric car is equipped with the world’s highest serial electric motor (23,000 rpm) and can reach a maximum speed of 225 km/h. The new car is equipped with three power units. Front-wheel drive models have electric motors with a capacity of 230 kW or 170 kW. The all-wheel drive model has two engines with maximum power of 160 kW and 230 kW. The single-engine model offers two range options: 550 km or 610 km, and the twin-engine model is 550 km. Maximum torque is 380 N·m, acceleration time from 0 to 100 is 7.3 seconds and 6.7 seconds respectively. Battery capacity is 71.8 kWh and 80.64 kWh.

BYD Sea Lion 07 can be charged from 10% to 80% in 25 minutes with GB15 (Chinese charging network standard) 180kW (750V/250A) chargers. Sea Lion 07 is BYD’s first car equipped with the ADAS DiPilot 100 God’s Eye system, which connects to 12 ultrasonic radars, 5 mm radars and 11 cameras. The vehicle has L2 autopilot, lane keeping assistant, adaptive cruise control, lane departure assistant, road sign recognition and smart cruise control.

BYD Sea Lion 07 is equipped with a four-spoke steering wheel, physical buttons for main controls, and a 50-inch AR-HUD. The central screen with a diagonal of 15.6 inches works on the DiLink 100 system that supports voice control. Ambient lighting supports 128 colors. The vehicle is equipped with a 12-speaker Dynaudio sound system. For example, there is a 220 V socket for a laptop, a karaoke system and an NFC switch. Additionally, the vehicle has 11 airbags and a tire pressure monitoring system.
