Suzuki continues to find ways to increase interest in its famous small SUV, the Suzuki Jimny. In 2023, the company launched more than a five-door version and now produces it in a special version.
The enlarged version, called Jimny XL in Australia, was replaced by the Heritage version, which featured a retro-style striped body. Australian buyers will be able to purchase the car in Bluish Black Pearl, Forest Green, Granite Grey, White and Ivory. The latter is combined with a contrasting black ceiling.
The updated Jimny received front and rear red fenders. It echoes the look of the three-door Jimny Heritage launched last year. It sold out in just two days, so Suzuki is asking those interested to act quickly. While the previous special series was limited to 300 units, the five-door model will be limited to 500 units.
The engine uses a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine mated to a five-speed manual transmission and reduced-range all-wheel drive. The engine is characterized by 101 liters and 96 Nm of torque.
Jimny XL Heritage received a nine-inch touchscreen, rearview camera, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto technologies, cruise control, hill descent control, automatic LED headlights and rear parking sensors. Suzuki is asking around $24,200 for this special edition.
