Zuzana 2 is built on the same wheeled chassis Tatra T815 8×8 as its predecessors. Unlike the latter, it is equipped with a 155 mm cannon, which increases the range by more than forty kilometers. By comparison, this is almost 5 kilometers higher than the result of one of the most powerful Russian ACS – the modernized 2C5M “Hyacinth”.

To improve performance, the Slovak self-propelled gun is equipped with a modern automatic fire control system. Second, it depends on the means of communication and uses digital maps of the area. Navigation is provided by satellite and inertial systems. Shooting data is calculated automatically. In addition, a radar gauge of the initial velocity of the projectile was located above the barrel.

It takes less than 2 minutes for the ACS to transition from stowed to combat. Thanks to the automatic recharge system, the rate of fire is ensured – 5 shots per minute and 13 shots in the first 3 minutes. When charged manually, the rate of fire is reduced to 2 shots per minute.

Zuzana 2 can deal fire damage in MRSI (Multi Round Simultaneous Effect) mode, where shells fired from different orbits simultaneously hit the target. For direct-direction shooting, the ACS is equipped with a targeting system that includes a TV camera, thermal imager and laser rangefinder.

Armor was strengthened to protect the crew from large-caliber small arms and small debris. They also did not forget about air conditioning, fire protection and protection against weapons of mass destruction. For safe travel at night, the driver is equipped with a passive night vision system. Also on each side are four smoke grenade launchers and one 12.7 mm anti-aircraft machine gun.
