MBS was founded in February 2022 by a group of investors and entrepreneurs. They decided to combine their love of beer with their interest in the metaverse, DAO, NFT, to “create tangible, real-life utility.”
The startup plans to issue 6,000 tokenized certificates of beer shares. NFTs will give owners the opportunity to receive 100 free cans of beer per year and various levels of management rights for the Munich brewery. The real business will be purchased after 75% of the tokens are sold and renamed as MetaBrewery.
According to MBS, the free beer certificate could be reserved in a separate NFT for possible monetization as some holders “will have more beer rights than they can drink.”
A digital analogue of MetaBrewery will appear on the metaverse to increase brand awareness and an additional platform for the sale of beer. MBS considers Sandbox essential.
After the acquisition of a physical brewery, the project will be reorganized into a DAO whose participants will own the beer stake.
Holger Mannweiler, co-founder and CEO of MBS, expects the organization to take a role in developing the brewery and researching consumer tastes.
“The DAO will make all the important business decisions, including which beer is best brewed, how profitable it is for those without NFTs, and where to sell it. The organization will also become a huge and sustainable target group that other consumer brands will need to invest a lot of time and money into.”explained.
If successful, the project scales.
Recall that in February 2022, crypto enthusiasts combined to buy the Denver Broncos NFL club through the DAO.
