AMD is expanding its Epyc portfolio with the Epyc 4004. This is a series of entry-level server chips aimed at SMEs.

AMD launches Epyc 4004. This series of server processors is intended to expand the Epyc range with chips specifically designed for servers for SMBs. Price is the most important factor for the series. The most powerful chip in the series is the 16-core Epyc 4564P with a suggested retail price (in the US) of $699. The starting price Epyc 4124P with four cores starts at $149.

Well-known architecture

With Epyc 4004, AMD wants to market chips for organizations that don’t necessarily need the most powerful servers, but would rather have modern hardware. These CPUs are based on AMD’s latest Zen 4 architecture and the chip specialist equips them with all the security features that we know from other Epyc processors. Multithreading is present on all CPUs.
