Therefore, a renewal of the range of one of the two product categories is always a very interesting move, especially if it is broad enough to reach multiple market segments. And that’s undoubtedly what we’ll find on this occasion, as Samsung has refreshed its flagship Odyssey as well as the ViewFinity and Smart Monitor families. Below is an overview of the new models

Samsung Odyssey OLED

We start with the Odyssey family, more specifically the OLED G8 and G6 models that we could already see at CES 2024. And for AMD graphics adapter users, both models support AMD FreeSync Premium Pro.

Samsung Smart Monitor

We continue the Samsung Smart Monitor family, the most versatile proposition, which adds a total of five new models with this update, the 32-inch M80D, the 42- and 32-inch M70D, and the 32- and 27-inch M50D. The common denominator of this group is that they focus on offering a complete experience for multiple devices united in a single hub, i.e. in the monitor itself.

The top of the range is the M80D, a 32-inch 4K (3840 x 2160 pixels) resolution, 400 cd/m2 brightness and some advanced features for both video and audio, including AI-based intelligent image scaling up to 4K supported the NQM AI processor, a 360 sound mode that pairs with the Galaxy Buds to create a surround sound environment, and SlimFit camera integration.

ViewFinity, Samsung’s proposal for artists and creative professionals, is the one in which we find the biggest renewal, with a total of 12 new models divided into five denominations, which are divided into three groups: ViewFinity S8 (models S80UD and S80D), ViewFinity S7 ( model S70D) and ViewFinity S6 (models S60UD and S60D).

They are also capable of adequately representing 99% of the sRGB color space, their brightness can scale up to 350 nits, and the UD model also integrates a KVM switch.
