Apple officially introduced the iOS 18 update at the WWDC24 developer conference. Along with the announcement, they also released the first developer preview.
Previously, the battery of iPhone 14 Pro and previous models was limited to 80%
One of the important features of the new update is the introduction of additional charging limit options for iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro users. In addition to the existing 80% limit aimed at extending battery life, users can now select 85%, 90% and 95% limits with a handy slider.
Previously, the iPhone 14 Pro and previous models were limited to a single 80% charge limit option. It is worth noting that this advanced charging limit feature is currently exclusive to the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro series.
Today Apple also released a developer preview beta update (internal build number: 22A5282m) for iPhone users. The public beta is expected to be released next month, with full implementation planned for this fall.
