Mazda announced that the 2025 model year Mazda3 has become cheaper than last year’s model. The automaker is bringing back the entry-level S trim for the hatchback, making both vehicles slightly more affordable than last year.
The 2025 Mazda3 2.5 S sedan remains the entry-level base model, starting at $25,135, down $220 from before. The $26,135 2.5 S hatchback is now the base model in this body, $740 cheaper than the entry-level 2024 hatchback. The rest of the hatchback lineup is $300 more expensive than before.
The 2.5 S’s standard engine is a non-supercharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder Mazda Skyactiv-G engine that produces 191 hp. It is offered with a six-speed automatic transmission or a six-speed manual transmission.
Mazda3 is also equipped with a turbocharged Skyactiv-G 2.5 Turbo engine with power up to 250 hp. With 320 Nm of torque. Automatic transmission and all-wheel drive are standard equipment. The 2.5 S Carbon Edition also offers a four-wheel drive option with a naturally aspirated engine.
Mazda also provided pricing for special paint colors. The Soul Red Crystal Metallic and Machine Gray Metallic paint costs $595. Polymetal Gray Metallic, Snowflake White Pearl Mica, and Ceramic Metallic are $450.
New for 2025 on S Select Sport packages and above, built-in Alexa allows drivers to control a variety of features like music, climate control and even smart home devices.
