Experts from the National Defense University of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) of China have created the first “virtual commander”.
Artificial intelligence (AI), as written in the SCMP publication, has already been tested during large-scale computer military games with the participation of all branches of the Armed Forces. Artificial intelligence has been given unprecedented high command powers. According to researchers, the virtual commander learns and improves quickly during games.
Artificial intelligence allows the Ukrainian Armed Forces to conduct numerous military simulations “without human intervention.” When wars reach a stalemate or the specified results cannot be achieved, it detects new threats, develops plans and makes the most appropriate decisions according to the general situation. It also learns and adapts based on wins and losses.
