Hyundai Elantra N is equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with a capacity of 276 hp. and 391 Nm of torque, which drives the front wheels through a six-speed manual transmission, just like in the Civic. The Civic also has an advantage because it uses a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. The engine produces slightly more power: 315 liters. With 310 Nm of torque.
In drag racing, the Hyundai Elantra N initially outpaced the Honda Civic Type R, which overtook it at the end of the quarter-mile and then extended its lead. The second time the result was the same. The Type R’s extra power had a distinct advantage over the Hyundai Elantra N.
In every respect, the Civic was slightly better than the Elantra. The Honda hit 60 mph in 5.7 seconds versus 5.9 seconds and covered the quarter mile 0.3 seconds faster than the Hyundai: 14.3 seconds versus 14.0 seconds.
The Civic also performed better when cornering. As a result, Honda completed the course in 37.8 seconds, while Elantra N completed it in 38.6 seconds.
