WhatsApp is introducing a new feature that allows users to set HD as the default for sending photos and videos.
WhatsApp introduced a new HD option a few months ago that allows users to send their media files in HD. Previously, users had to specify this separately for each media file, but WhatsApp is changing that. When sending photos and videos, the HD option is now set by default.
Both iOS and Android users can now set the HD option as the default for sending photos and videos over WhatsApp. Previously, users had to do this manually for each media file, but that is now a thing of the past. Please note that HD media files are larger and therefore require more storage space. The more high-resolution HD photos or videos you download, the faster your storage will fill up.
To set HD quality as default, open WhatsApp Institutions > Storage and data > Quality of media upload. You can then choose HD quality. Those who prefer to manually adjust the HD quality when sending can still use this option by clicking the “HD” icon when sending media in WhatsApp.
