More than 30 people were taken to hospital in Natal, Brazil, after an Air Europa flight from Madrid to Montevideo encountered turbulence during its landing.
“The Ministry of Health provided assistance not only to the victims of the air accident,” the government of the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Norte posted a statement on its official account on the X network.
The plane landed at Natal International Airport “with numerous casualties who were treated by emergency services.”

Brazilian authorities mobilized 15 ambulances for the victims, who were transferred to the Monsignor Walfredo Gurgel Hospital, the accident and trauma center in the region.
Air Europa previously told Europa Press there were seven injuries and an unspecified number of people with minor bruises.
The plane involved was a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner with 325 people on board. The plane will be inspected to determine the extent of the damage caused by the turbulence, and Air Europa will send a new plane to pick up the affected passengers in Brazil. (Europe Press)
