have already passed a little over a few months Since the introduction of the Black Shark 5 family, the new generation of smartphones has clearly targeted the growing segment of gaming smartphones, which have fallen into place in this market, both in terms of performance and design. However, they have not debuted in our market yet, so we expected their arrival at any moment.

And finally, the event, which took place in Madrid and in the presence of famous youtubers from the world of video games and sports, the company announced that they were already available in Spaineven if only part of the family arrives. As you probably remember, when it was announced, we were talking about three models, the Black Shark 5, 5 RS and 5 Pro, and it is the first and third to arrive in Spain. These are its specifications:

As you can see, at first glance there is not too much difference between Black Shark 5 and his brother 5. Although there are enough to justify its division into two different models. The main one is of course in his SoCbecause 5 has Qualcomm Snapdragon 870, an interesting evolution of Snapdragon 865+, while Black Shark 5 Pro jumps to the latest generation with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.

Another difference between the two models can be found in the total amount of RAM they can handle, the point where the Black Shark 5 goes up to 12 gigabytes, while the 5 Pro goes a step further and offers up to 16 gigabytes, in both cases of the LPDDR5 type. It’s worth thinking for a moment about smartphones with the same amount of RAM, which include a lot of computers dedicated to gaming.

we also see difference in the main camera, because the “small” fits the 64-megapixel main sensor with the number f / 1.79, while the Black Shark 5 Pro goes further in this respect, with the 108-pixel sensor f / 1.75. In both models, the main sensor is accompanied by an 8-megapixel wide-angle lens f / 2.2 and a 5-megapixel macro lens f / 2.4. There are no differences on the front, which in both cases is 20 megapixels with the number f 2.5.

The screens are quite similar, although in this case we find another difference, the type of panel mounted. Black Shark 5 bets on the AMOLED screen, while 5 Pro selects the OLED panel. In both cases, its size is 6.67 inches with FullHD + resolution (1080 x 2400 dots) with a 20: 9 aspect ratio and a density of 394 dots per inch. Its refresh rate is 144 Hz.
