Rompe is the Colombian version of the project, which bears the same name for all of Latin America, although in this case it collaborates with Shock magazine.

Artists of all music genres can participate if they are at risk for live performances and get a voice from the public on the internet.

The winner of the competition You get support from the brand in positioning your music career, marketing plans on social media, and streaming your songs in the streaming platform playlists. also Record the song and video for the Amazon Original editorial campaign and it will be popularized in the app and on the Caracol TV channel.

The other 14 performers who do not win the main prize will be part of the Rompe Focus campaign, in which they will also receive support from Amazon Music Colombia in promoting their music proposals.

Stages of the competition

To move to the next stage of the project, contestants must be artists or music bands with less than 5 years of experience and must have a song that has been running on streaming platforms for at least one minute and 30 seconds over the past year.

If they meet the above requirements, they will be put to the vote of Internet users, where the 15 most votes will be selected.

The third stage looks much more interesting than the previous one, as they will be broadcast live in some of Colombia’s major cities (Bogota, Medellin and Cali) and the best musicians in each city will be selected.

In the final stage, the best from each city will be presented at a live show in Bogota in front of fans, the general public and especially the voting jury, who will reveal the winner. This finale will be broadcast on Twitch channel “Amazon Music Co”

Rompe Colombia is the national version of the Amazon project, Rompe for Latin America. The initiative comes from Amazon’s “breakthrough” plan to find the best emerging artists from the United States, Latin America and Spain.

At the end of this competition, Amazon will release the ROMPE Colombia Playlist, where you will see songs by participants and other recent artists from across the country. To listen to the playlist from Alexa, you need to dictate the voice command “Alexa, play the playlist ROMPE Colombia”.
