Google Cloud is hosting its own Security Summit this week, making it the perfect time to announce new security features. Today’s announcements can be summed up in one word: convergence. Google Cloud is highlighting the power of simplicity in cybersecurity by integrating and extending existing features with AI and frontline intelligence.

Google Cloud introduces new tools and updates that drive security convergence. Google’s Security Operations Platform brings together SIEM, SOAR, and Attack Surface Management to proactively detect and combat threats.

Convergence of solutions

In addition, the subsidiary Mandiant is expanding its services to include Custom Threat Hunt, which aims to detect specific threats within organizations’ IT environments.
