Atlassian buys Rewatch. With the acquisition, the company wants to integrate AI-driven meeting recordings into Loom to make meetings more efficient by enabling automated follow-up.
Atlassian is adding Rewatch to its portfolio. Rewatch is a platform that uses AI to optimize virtual meetings. Once integrated with Loom, users can deploy an AI-powered meeting assistant that automatically records meetings, takes detailed notes, captures action points, and sends follow-up messages to participants.
This information is searchable in other Atlassian products such as Jira and Confluence, so updates are visible even to colleagues who did not attend the meeting.
The new features allow users to automatically add the Meeting Assistant to a meeting’s participant list via Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or Google Meet. The Assistant records the meeting, takes notes using preset templates, and creates a to-do list to streamline the post-meeting process. The recorded meetings, notes, and tasks are saved in the Loom library, where they can be edited and shared.
Practical follow-up measures
In addition, Loom’s AI assistant generates various types of content, such as:
- Individual meeting notes: Based on templates for different types of meetings. Users can customize these notes or add their own notes.
- Action points: The assistant creates and assigns tasks. In the future, Rovo agents will automatically update the notes and action items on associated Confluence pages, Jira tickets, and more.
- Full transcript: Participants can browse what was said, copy excerpts, or download the full transcript. Transcripts can also be translated into more than 50 languages.
The Rewatch integration enables meeting recordings and AI-powered features such as calendar integration, transcripts, meeting notes, and action items. These new features will be available as part of the Loom platform in the coming quarters.
