The HP OmniBook Ultra Flip 14 is the model that the American manufacturer has chosen for its debut on the new Intel processor platform, the Core Ultra 200 series, or as it is known under the code name “Lunar Lake”.
As its name suggests, we are facing a convertible which follows the design of the impressive HP Specter with hinges that allow the screen to rotate up to 360 degrees in hybrid designs that offer great versatility by being able to replace laptops and tablets in a single device and offer the user several modes to use on the go and on the table.
This equipment jumps straight to the premium level, which can be seen in its light and thin aluminum chassis and its 14-inch OLED display with multi-touch technology (finger and stylus support), a native resolution of 2880 x 1800 pixels, a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz and a Corning Gorilla Glass protection layer.
This convertible is HP’s third model for the Microsoft Copilot+ PC platform. If the previous two mounted a Qualcomm Snapdragon (OmniBook X 14) or an AMD Ryzen AI 300 (OmniBook Ultra), the HP OmniBook Ultra Flip 14 has a processor Core Ultra 9 288V from which Intel promises up to 30% faster integrated graphics, better energy efficiency or up to 48 TOP performance in AI acceleration.
Once the main hardware is complete, the user will be able to install 32GB of LPDDR5x-8533 memory and up to 2TB of PCIe Gen 4 SSDs for internal storage. Like the rest of the new equipment we see at IFA, the convertible debuts Wi-Fi 7 and includes other interesting connectivity features such as Bluetooth 5.4 or Thunderbolt 4.
HP equips the notebook with a 64 Wh battery, a four-speaker audio system, and an improved webcam for video conferencing with a 9-megapixel sensor and security boosted by its IR sensor with Windows Hello support for facial recognition.
The HP OmniBook Ultra Flip 14 comes pre-installed with Windows 11 and will be available in the coming weeks at an official price $1,499.
