Our devices like our smart TV with Android TV or Chromecast with Google TV, Digital Terrestrial Television channels (DTT) without the need for an antenna. There are great apps designed for this, like Tivify, Runtime or TDTChannels.

It is definitely the latter that continues to improve with the passage of updates: after the last two, revolutionary changes have come that reaffirm that this is the best application to watch free DTT. And now available on Android and Android TV.

Update TDTChannels to the latest version: it’s worth it

Last time we talked about a TDTChannels update on Xataka Android, playlistsIt’s also on the channel list. During this time, the developer has released several updates that make it even better; let’s take a look at the changelog:

• Higher speed.
• Better contrast on SmartTV.
• Improved EPG programming guide.
• Dark mode by default on AndroidTV and FireTV.
• Improved background playback.
• New interface optimized for TV remote control.

These changes and new features are outlined in the official TDTChannels profile on X (former Twitter). As the developer told us, the latest version adds a change that makes our lives much easier: channel lists are added automatically.

Similarly, the interface improves its appearance in the programming guide. It’s now “more visual,” with a layout that highlights channels from each listing in that section. Has it been a while since you updated the app? There’s more: rewind function to obtain, On streams that accept this feature, you can always go back if you miss something or want to watch it again. But it’s very useful, considering it doesn’t allow recording.

You can have all these functions at the touch of a button (on the screen): version v2024.08.01 available In the Play Store for Android and Android TV. Systems based on it, such as Fire TV, must choose manual installation by downloading the APK file of the new version.
