Judge Mark Scarsi accepted the new evidence and set sentencing for December 16.
Scarsi, appointed by former President Donald Trump, finally agreed to this astonishing defense maneuver based on the Alford doctrine, under which a defendant pleads guilty based on the strength of the charges against him. but he continues to claim that he is innocent.
Hunter Biden Takes Charge of nine charges, three of them seriousrelated to $1.4 million in unpaid taxes between 2016 and 2019.
Similarly, trying to claim payments he made to prostitutes, a subscription to a pornographic website, and his daughter’s college tuition as business expenses.
The statement, which was not based on any plea agreement, came during a hearing in Los Angeles as jury selection was about to begin.
“We were as surprised as everyone else in the courtroom,” said special prosecutor Leo Wise, who, after learning of the president’s son’s intentions, said he would oppose it.
Hunter Biden is not innocent, he is guilty, he cannot plead guilty under special conditions.

After prosecutors read the 59-page indictment (the trial lasted an hour and a half), Judge Scarsi asked Hunter Biden if he agreed, and the answer was yes, avoiding a retrial just months later.
Hunter Biden has already been found guilty on three counts in June in a case related to illegal acquisition of weapons fire in 2018, having purchased it when he was a known drug addict.
