We must not fool you and say that when the new Redmi A3 was introduced worldwide, we were quite surprised to see such a cheap phone with stock Android offered, but still, His counterpart did not come It has HyperOS and Android 14 under its sleeve.
It seems that Xiaomi has decided to dispel this doubt and to do so has introduced its new POCO C61 smartphone, which is exactly the same as its Redmi sibling but in this case, with its own operating system This places it as a very interesting alternative in the brand’s catalog, maintaining the same software that we have in the vast majority of the brand’s devices.

This sounds familiar to us (a lot)
We could go on and on about all the benefits of this new POCO C61, but the truth is that it is exactly that. It’s the same phone in every way as the one we saw in the Redmi A3. We continue with a design that we think is quite beautiful, but unfortunately it shows off a huge camera module that houses a rather weak 8MP main sensor and a secondary QVGA lens that is not very useful beyond gathering information from the shot.
Other details that we really liked are a USB-C connector (something that is not always guaranteed in this range), a fingerprint sensor in the unlock button, 6.71-inch IPS LCD panel, HD+ resolution and up to 90Hz refresh rate and in addition to this, the performance of the MediaTek Helio G36 processor, which comes with LPDDR4X RAM and eMMC 5.1 storage, will be more than enough for a not-so-demanding audience.
For the rest, the mobile phone also has a special feature. 5,000 mAh battery that stays charged at 10W, We also have a Micro SD card slot with a capacity of up to 1 TB and, perhaps most importantly, our HyperOS operating system installed inside so you can enjoy the 100% Xiaomi experience.
New POCO C61 price and availability
The new POCO C61 is already listed on the official Xiaomi website globally but unfortunately it is still not listed We do not have any possible arrival dates or prices in SpainWe will have to wait for now, but considering that the Redmi A3 starts at 109.99 euros, it is very likely that this new model (if it arrives) will arrive at a really low and competitive price.
