Salesforce’s Data Cloud can now extract relevant data from audio and video content. Salesforce is also increasing standardization.
Salesforce is expanding the capabilities of its Data Cloud to Dreamforce. The Data Cloud can now process data from audio and video. The information contained therein is now automatically decrypted. This is relevant, for example, for recorded video conferences or telephone conversations.
The way the Data Cloud handles data is also changing. Salesforce is introducing a new standardized semantic data model so that data is interpreted consistently. The CMR specialist is making further improvements in the areas of real-time data processing and search functionality.
Integration with agents
The expansion of the Data Cloud’s capabilities is no surprise. At Dreamforce, Salesforce presented a vision for AI based on autonomous agents. These agents sit on the Salesforce platform, talk to the applications and draw their knowledge from the data in the Data Cloud.
Data Cloud applies a zero-copy principle and can now integrate with data from various external partners. The solution is central to the vision of useful agents.
“Our agents are reliable and rarely hallucinate,” says Salesforce founder Marc Benioff on stage. “This is possible because we have the data, the metadata, the processes and models.” The data and metadata come from the Data Cloud, which therefore has to grow with the functionality that Salesforce provides for agents.
