With the introduction of the LANCOM CS-8132F Core Switch, Lancom is expanding its switch portfolio. This enables medium-sized companies to fully equip their multi-level campus networks with European components, from the access to the core level.
The new Lancom CS-8132F switch acts as a central node in campus networks. Companies with large amounts of data or high client density benefit from the powerful specifications, such as 32 100G QSFP28 ports and a switch capacity of 6.4 Tbit/s. Thanks to this capacity, the networks are equipped for future bandwidth-intensive use.
With the expansion of the portfolio, companies can now manage all network layers – from the access level to the core – with Lancom components. Since the solutions were developed entirely in Europe, this is particularly useful for NIS2.
Cloud management and reliability
The Lancom CS-8132F is designed for maximum reliability and availability even in critical situations. The device has redundant power supplies and fans that can be replaced during operation, so that maintenance work can be carried out without network downtime. In addition, the Virtual Port Channels (VPC) system ensures that updates can be carried out without network interruption.
Management can be done via a web GUI, CLI or the Lancom Management Cloud, with Software Defined Networking (SDN) ensuring automated deployments and updates. Thanks to 24/7 real-time monitoring, network administrators have full control over all connected network components.
In addition to the CS-8132F, Lancom is launching new switches for aggregation and access levels that can also be controlled via cloud management. The entire switch series has its own operating system.
The LANCOM CS-8132F will be available from October 2024 at a price of 34,990 euros (net).
