Embassy of Israel in Mexico issued a statement clarifying its position on the recent escalation of violence caused by the terrorist organization Hezbollah. Despite the continuous attacks that have intensified its activity in recent days, Israel reiterates that it does not seek a large-scale war.

However, he stresses that he will respond decisively to any aggression that threatens the security of its citizens and the sovereignty of the country.

The statement stressed that since last weekend Hezbollah Launches Over 100 Rockets At Israelputting half a million Israelis at risk. This situation is exacerbated by the use of longer-range and more lethal missiles aimed at civilian areas.

The embassy stresses the need to protect the Israeli population and notes that Hezbollah’s military operations began on October 8, the day after Hamas attacks in southern Israel.

According to the statement, this connection between the two groups attempts to justify violence against Israel on the premise of supposedly protecting the Gaza Strip.

It is also mentioned that Hezbollah carries out constant attacks without prior provocation, resulting in the deaths of Israelis, including the tragic incident in which 12 children were killed while playing soccer.

The actions forced the evacuation of about 70,000 people from their homes in the north of the country.

The embassy also condemns the tactics used by Hezbollah, which include violation of international law using civilian infrastructure as human shields and holding Lebanese citizens hostage.

The organization is considered a terrorist organization by many countries, including the United States, Canada, Germany, and several member states of the European Union and the Arab League.

In this context, Israel calls on countries seeking stability in the region demand immediate implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1701.

The resolution demands the withdrawal of Hezbollah forces north of the Litani River and the end of its armed presence in southern Lebanon.

Israel says it is taking all necessary measures to protect its population and ensure that displaced residents of the north can return to their homes after nearly a year of absence.

He Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reiterated that the conflict is not against Lebanese citizens, but against Hezbollah. Likewise, he warned of the destabilizing role Iran plays in the situation, being considered the “head of the snake” supporting Hezbollah and other terrorist organizations in the Middle East.

In this sense, Israel called on the international community impose tougher sanctions against Iran and declare the Islamic Revolutionary Guards a terrorist organization.
