This extension of HPE Aruba Networking Central brings new AI insights and capabilities, such as integration with OpsRamp to monitor third-party network devices.

HPE is adding new features to Aruba Networking Central, including monitoring for third-party network devices and improved user experiences, to ensure better network management, security, and performance. Aruba Networking Central is an AI-based networking solution with a focus on security.

OpsDisaster

These new features come from the acquisition of OpsRamp in 2023. With the integration of OpsRamp, network administrators can now monitor various devices such as routers, switches and firewalls from other vendors, helping to speed up troubleshooting in heterogeneous networks.

The expansion also includes improved configuration tools, a broader view of network operations, and AI-driven optimizations. By leveraging AI insights from a data lake that now includes more than 1.6 billion devices, HPE Aruba can deliver predictive improvements to network performance, resulting in simulations of security measures, energy savings, and optimized security settings.

A journey through time

In addition to monitoring, HPE Aruba Networking Central has been enhanced with Digital Experience Monitoring (DEM) thanks to the integration of User Experience Insight (UXI). This feature provides network administrators with visibility into SLA compliance from the user to the application. The new “time travel” feature also allows administrators to see the status of the network at any time, contributing to more efficient management.

The HPE Aruba Central configuration engine has also been updated. The platform now offers a common configuration model supported by an API-first development approach. This makes it easier to implement and manage large-scale network configurations.

The new features of HPE Aruba Networking Central have been available in public preview since October 2024. Additional enhancements, such as third-party device monitoring and improved configuration capabilities, are expected later in the year.
