Chery Tiggo 9 and Tiggo 9 C-DM 2025 model year were officially unveiled on September 25. The new Tiggo 9 is available in five trim levels in China, ranging from $21,750 to $29,000, while the new Tiggo 9 C-DM plug-in hybrid model is available in two trim levels, ranging from $23,600 to $25,000. It is available in 5- and 7-seat configurations.

In August 2024, 4,914 Tiggo 9 vehicles were sold, accounting for 9.20% of Chery’s total sales. The model ranks 56th in crossover sales in China. In the first eight months of 2024, cumulative sales of Tiggo 9 reached 33,183 units, placing the model in 58th place.

The dimensions are 4820x1930x1699 (1710) mm and the wheelbase is 2820 mm. The kerb weight, depending on the version, is from 1719 kg to 1832 kg. The car is powered by a Chery Kunpeng 2.0TGDI turbocharged direct injection engine, which produces a maximum power of 192 kW (257 hp) and a maximum torque of 400 Nm when paired with a 7DCT or 8AT. The fuel tank capacity is 65 liters, and fuel consumption is 7.5-8.5 liters per 100 km. Some equipment levels are equipped with a continuous damping system and a real-time all-wheel drive system with seven driving modes.

The cockpit features a dual 24.6-inch display consisting of an instrument cluster and a central control display powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip. A 50-inch AR-HUD projection display is also installed.

The car featured 256-color interior lighting, a rear center armrest, adjustable rear seat backrests, a front seat map pocket, an umbrella holder, and also 2 advanced driver assistance features (forward collision warning, rear collision warning, cross traffic, rear collision warning, and hill start assist).

The Tiggo 9 C-DM plug-in hybrid system consists of the fifth-generation Chery ACTECO 1.5TGDI hybrid engine (154 hp/220 Nm) and a front electric motor (221 hp/390 Nm) coupled to the 3DHT. The three-cell 19.43 kWh lithium-ion battery supplied by Gotion provides a pure electric range of 106 km in the CLTC cycle (or 82 km in WLTC). The official full range in WLTC with a full tank and charge is over 1,400 km.
