In a release on the YouTube channel TechNick, two of Xiaomi’s flagship models were compared in terms of heat and speed: Redmi K50 Pro and 12 Pro. The first smartphone is equipped with a Dimensity 9000 processor, and the second – Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.

TechNick experts tested the Redmi K50 Pro and 12 Pro (12GB of RAM in both cases) in three tests with Dimensity 9000 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processors. It turns out that only one is the best for games and everyday use.

The initial test included booting the devices as well as unlocking them with fingerprint and Face ID. The fastest of the two devices is the Xiaomi 12 Pro. When unlocked on the home screen, all app icons also unlocked faster on the 12 Pro. The speed of the fingerprint scanner was higher than that of the K50 Pro. There was no difference between smartphones in terms of face unlock.

The second test compared the opening speeds of different apps. According to the results of this round, the K50 Pro received 17 points, and 12 Pro – only 6 points. That is, with Dimensity 9000, games and applications on the Xiaomi K50 Pro run much faster.

The third round was devoted to testing the RAM of the devices. In it, both devices scored one point.

At the end of testing, the percentage of charge on the K50 Pro was 93 – 91 percent on the 12 Pro.

Solution

Overall, it was a winner in terms of speed and temperature Xiaomi Redmi K50 Pro: It scored 19 on all three tests and only warmed up to 10.4 degrees Celsius. At the same time, the energy efficiency of the Dimensity 9000 processor was lower than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1: 21.43 mA. year/min versus 19.71 mA year/min Both devices are only 6 percent discharged but the K50 Pro’s battery capacity is 5,000 mA year against 4600 mA in the year 12 Pro.
