Developers are already turning to AI to simplify and speed up code development. Unsurprisingly, hackers have also started experimenting with it. Some recent reports show that several malware attacks have been discovered, some of which contain AI-generated codes. Although malware attacks were also active in the pre-AI era, AI-powered malware can increase their frequency.

Hackers have found their way into AI. For example, BleepingComputer shows several attacks that are believed to have been written by AI. According to reports from Proofpoint and HP, among others, these malware attacks were generated without technical expertise. These attacks used HTML, VBScript and JavaScript.

Malware attacks have been around long before AI came into the world. Companies also previously had to protect themselves from such attacks, so nothing has changed. What may be worrying is that this will only increase the frequency of these attacks. Just as AI can make the work of various professional groups easier or faster, it can also do the same for the work of hackers. This allows them to launch multiple malware attacks, which only increases the chances of success.
